The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around the festive mood in India as well as the three matches going around. Bhai Dooj is being celebrated in the country and the Indian cricketers were busy wishing their fans and followers for the same. The likes of Amit Mishra, Suresh Raina, Rahul Sharma among many took time out from their busy times and thought of wishing their fans on the social media.

On the other hand, the cricketing action was at its peak in Galle and Adelaide. England came out on top to beat Sri Lanka by 211 runs in the first of the three-match Test series. They played very well in this game and spoiled Rangana Herath farewell Test match who sadly had to end his career with a loss. Sri Lanka will now be playing without the veteran and it will be interesting to see how they fare. Michael Vaughan was delighted with England first overseas Test win in 13 Test matches.

Australia were setting the stage on fire in Adelaide as they defending the total of 231 runs in the second ODI which was the must-win game for them. Aiden Markram’s run-out left Dean Jones miffed and agitated as he believed that those are the basics of the game. He dived in despair to save himself but his bat was in the air and eventually lost his wicket. The wicket opened up the game and Aussies sneaked in to keep making further inroads and South Africa crumbled under pressure.
