The cricketing trends on the social media mostly revolved around the ongoing first One-Day International between India and England in Nottingham. The current and former cricketers were extremely impressed with Kuldeep Yadav‘s bowling as he ran through England’s batting order. He returned with the figures of 6/25 after his 10 overs which was simply brilliant and helped bowl England out for a total of 268 on a ground where they scored 481 in their previous outing.

Sri Lanka locked horns against South Africa in the first Test match at Galle today as many hailed the performance of Dimuth Karunaratne who carried his bat. His impeccable knock of 158 runs helped the hosts post a fighting total of 287 runs in their first innings. Kagiso Rabada was the star for his team as he scalped 4 wickets even as the ploy to pick Tabraiz Shamsi worked for them big time. He picked a couple of wickets as Dale Steyn made his comeback to the Test arena again.

There were also a few tweets on England‘s loss in the FIFA World Cup in the semi-final against Croatia. England was expected to win the clash and they took the lead early in the game as well but conceded two goals later which ended their aspiring campaign at the event.
