The cricketing trends of the social media mostly revolved around the fourth day of the third Test between England and India at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The cricketing fraternity was proud of how the Indian contingent was doing well and raking up the medals in the ongoing 18th Asian Games in Jakarta. Sachin Tendulkar was over the moon to see the 16-year-old Saurabh Chaudhary win a Gold medal by breaking the record in shooting and making the country proud.

The fourth day of Trent Bridge Test turned dramatically after the first session as Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler forged a sensational partnership. After being 62/4, they played really well as the conditions also eased out with the sun coming out and Michael Vaughan sensed that England can win the series if they play out four more sessions of the Test match. In the first session though, it was India who dictated terms perfectly under cloudy conditions and picked 4 wickets.

There were a lot of tweets from Pakistan though as the cricketers thanked Navjot Singh Sidhu for attending the swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan who took over as the Prime Minister of his country. The former India cricketer is being bashed from all the corners of the country for his actions while one of the politicians in Haryana wanted the Chief Minister of Punjab to take action on him.
