The cricketing trends on social media today saw the cricketers from all over the world interact with their followers across platforms. It was the National Sports Day and the birthday of Hockey Legend Dhyan Chand which caught the centre of attraction amongst the cricketers in India. Anil Kumble, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Pragyan Ojha and many others emphasized the importance of the day in Indian sports.
The other issue which caught the limelight across social media was the heavy floods in Mumbai. Cricketers such as Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Sachin Tendulkar and many others issued warning and caution due to the calamity. Suresh Raina, on the contrary, found a way to work out even with the pouring rain. Michael Vaughan did not believe that West Indies could chase down the required total set by England in the second Test match at Headingley, or did he?
Murali Vijay, on the other hand, urged people to encourage more children towards sports. Dean Jones lauded the efforts of Steve Smith and David Warner who remained strong in the third day of Dhaka Test match. In spite of the dark times in Sri Lankan Cricket, Angelo Matthews found a way to remain positive and strive forward. That said, let us look at the cricketing trends in social media today.
