Cricketing trends on social media today
Here's a look at what the cricketing fraternity has been up to.

The cricketing trends on social media today saw the cricketers from all over the world interact with their followers across platforms. Former Australia cricketer Bob Holland passed away today afternoon after losing his battle with brain cancer. The player who represented the Aussies in the Test format died at the age of 70. Michael Clarke took to Twitter to express his sadness. The cricketer also wished strength to Bob’s family.
West Indian legend Ian Bishop was left speechless by Hardik Pandya’s incredible power hitting against Australia. Pandya took on the Australian bowlers especially Adam Zampa as he hammered them for a number of gigantic maximums. Hardik played an outstanding inning of 83 runs off 66 balls and Ian Bishop expected him to grow into a world class cricketer in the next two years. VVS Laxman also joined the party and hailed Hardik Pandya’s rampant knock against Steve Smith and his men.
Laxman also congratulated MS Dhoni who played a massive role in taking India to a respectable total of 281 runs. The legendary skipper played an innings of 79 runs defined by maturity and class. With the half century, Dhoni reached the 100 international 50s landmark and Laxman gave him a pat on the back for the same.
Chris Gayle posed in his natural uber-cool style in front of a chicken statue. The destructive batsman nailed the look one day after beating the Englishmen in a T20 match. England batsman Ravi Bopara was glued to his TV to catch the London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal. Bopara being an Arsenal supporter was disturbed by the fact that star player Alexis Sanchez was not in the starting line-up.
Former woman cricketer Isa Guha was thrilled to watch Hardik Pandya play a innings of this kind against the Kangaroos. he termed the young cricketer as the most exciting all-rounder in the fray after Ben Stokes. Here are all the tweets of the day:
