The cricketing trends on social media today saw the cricketers from all over the world interact with their followers across platforms. Two fantastic Test matches came to end on a brilliant note, with Australia registering a 2-0 after a huge win at Adelaide and India’s game ending in a stalemate. Indian stars RP Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and triple-centurion Karun Nair celebrated their birthdays as well today.

India had a rough day at the office at the Kotla. Sri Lanka played the entire final day out, losing just two wickets. This is a testament to a fact that they are improving in the longest format of the game. Dhanjaya de Silva stroked a wonderful hundred on a comeback and debutant Roshen Silva too scored a brilliant 74, which helped the visitors finish the series on a proud note.

Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh sent a message to all the people living in Delhi to work hard towards making their city a peaceful place to live. With the pollution levels creeping higher than ever before, there were a few casualties reported and it had an impact on the India-Sri Lanka Test at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

Adelaide though, is a happier city and their elation was on another level as Australia slaughtered the English on the final day. There was some criticism coming Steve Smith’s way after he decided to not enforce the follow-on. But eventually, his move to give rest to the bowlers worked as they ran through them in a hurry on the final day. Australia has taken a 2-0 lead in the 5-Match series.

ICC posted a humorous animated GIF referring to England’s dismal show in the Ashes. It has received mixed reactions from the fans as of now and former cricketer Dean Jones too felt ICC shouldn’t have posted this. Having said that, he quoted it was incredibly funny and what more can be expected from an Aussie!
