Cricketing trends in twitter today saw tweets coming in from all over the world. While England defeated the Men in Blue in the first T20I of the three-match series, Australia clinched the ODI series against Pakistan 4-1. Former English pacer Darren Gough was impressed with England’s bowling performance while Simon Hughes hailed Eoin Morgan after his match-winning innings.
While wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel moved from behind the stumps to behind the barbeque, Aussie captain Steve Smith was delighted to see Tennis ace Roger Federer in yet another Grand Slam final. While Russell Arnold met his old mates, Indian spin ace Ravi Ashwin and Yusuf Pathan wished a very Happy Republic Day to all Indians.
While Trent Copeland was enjoying his time in the Australian Open, Former Sri Lankan captain and the current chairman of selectors Sanath Jayasuriya congratulated his team on a brilliant series victory in the T20I series in South Africa. This was their first victory in South Africa in any form of cricket.
