Danielle Wyatt pumped up as Arjun Tendulkar gets picked in India U19 team

Arjun Tendulkar was selected in the India U19 team for the first time on Thursday for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour. He will be part of the squad which will play a couple of four-day matches in the island nation and will be led by Anuj Rawat, the wicketkeeper-batsman from Delhi. ICC congratulated Arjun on his achievement as the wishes poured in for him. However, Danielle Wyatt, the England Women cricketer, was also happy for the youngster who received his maiden call-up to the junior side.

Wyatt is currently gearing up for the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa, the first of which will be played on Saturday. She took time out from her busy schedule and was delighted after coming to know about the selection of Sachin Tendulkar’s son.

She responded to the tweet from ICC and no wonder was happy for the 18-year-old. She is popular in India for her famous marriage proposal to Virat Kohli a few years ago and is always connected to various cricketers on social media praising them for their performances.

Proud father

Sachin Tendulkar, the father, was ecstatic after his son was picked up in the India U19 squad and remarked that his family will always support him. “We are happy on Arjun being selected in India U-19 team. It is an important milestone in his cricketing life. Anjali (Tendulkar) and I will always support Arjun in his choices and pray for his success,” he said.

There is a lot of buzz about the fact that Arjun will be playing under the watchful eyes of Rahul Dravid. Unfortunately, the same will not happen at least on this tour, as he will be with India A team in England. WV Raman will travel with the Indian colts as the coach of the U19 team where they are scheduled to play a couple of four-day matches and 5 One-Day games as well.
