The third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is currently underway with six participating teams. The tournament is now into its business end and is into the playoffs stage. The tournament is a massive event and banters, both funny and heated are expected during the course of the event. Darren Sammy, the skipper of the Peshawar Zalmi and Tom Moody, the coach of the Multan Sultans have recently been involved in some healthy war of words.

However, Sammy had the last laugh as Peshawar stormed into the playoff. Meanwhile, Tom Moody had to face disappointment as Multan crashed out after the league stage. Peshawar started the tournament with a couple of defeats against the Sultans. Following the Zalmi’s second defeat against Shoaib Malik’s men, Sammy went up to Moody to congratulate for the victory. However, the former Australian cricketer brutally trolled Sammy.

However, the tables turned for both teams as the tournament progressed. Meanwhile, Sammy took this opportunity to give it back to Moody. He went live in Instagram, a social media platform and took a jibe at Moody. He said “When we played Multan the second time I congratulated Tom Moody, and said we will see you in the playoffs. He looked at me and said you guys ain’t getting there. Well Tom, come and join me now in the playoffs,”

Multan was at the top of the ladder during the chunk of the league phase. However, they couldn’t hold on to their rich vein of form. Subsequently, they slid down the table and were slapped with elimination. On the other hand, Peshawar had a topsy-turvy season and clouds of elimination loomed over them as well. However, some brilliant individual performances, especially Kamran Akmal’s jaw-dropping ton against Lahore Qalandars, saw them finish among the top four teams.
