The Australian vice-captain, David Warner has been a regular performer in the Australian team and he has a staggering record to speak for him. However, all seems to be not in right place between Australian Players’ Association (APA) and Cricket Australia (CA) and in lieu if that, Warner showed his concerns regarding the present dispute.

The left-hander has been firm to his assertion that the players are prepared to be absent from summers’ Ashes if the current pay dispute drags into the six months beyond the June 30 expiry of the MOU between Cricket Australia (CA) and the Australian Cricketers Association (ACA).

Dispute between Cricket Australia and Australian Players:

“If we are unemployed, we have no contracts, we can’t play. We are pretty sure that they will come to an agreement. But, as you know, we are going to be unemployed come July 1. So we have to wait and see,” he said.

Being a bit concerned about the present disputes, Warner further went on to say that the only medium of confabulation between the two, has been media and the Australian players only get information through it.

“It is only what we hear in the media and that’s how CA have been driving it the whole way. They have been using the media as a voice and we get the message from there,” he added.

Showing his affectionate concordance towards ACA he said, “My full support with all the guys and we all are together”. He further stated, “We’ve always said from day one that all the support is behind the ACA 100%. They are doing a great job for us. Obviously, from a players’ point of view, we are pretty vocal and upbeat about it. We are pretty sure that they will come to an agreement. But as you know, we are going to be unemployed come July 1. So we have to wait and see and play it out from there.”

Concentration on Champions Trophy:

Lastly, Warner said that he is hopeful that a new Memorandum of Understanding can be formed before 30 June. However, he also said, that the team is concentrating on Champions Trophy and working regressively with the full fortitude to win the Trophy.

Australia will play their second league stage match against Bangladesh and will look to take a thumping victory against them on Monday (5th June). The first match against New Zealand was abandoned due to rain.
