David Warner was one of the major casualties of the infamous ball-tampering saga in March as he was banned for 12 months along with the skipper Steve Smith. It was one of the lowest points in the history of the Australian cricket as many blamed the culture of the team in the 2000s for the attitude of the players. It was the toughest moment of Warner’s career as he had even admitted to the fact of not playing for his country again. However, after all the disappointment, the time has come for him to hit the straps and has started training for the same.

While the cricketers were banned by Cricket Australia (CA) from playing in the international and domestic cricket, they were given a permission to play the game elsewhere. Warner will now ply his trade in the upcoming Global T20 Canada which is all set to commence on June 28. Even Smith will feature in the same tournament as the duo will return to cricket after a gap of around 2 months.

Warner posts the video

David Warner will play for Winnipeg Hawks in the tournament under the leadership of Windies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo. He seems to be excited to get back to the 22 yards and started his training on Friday. The left-hander himself posted the video of him working on fly speed transition on Instagram and was delighted about the same. He captioned the video with a message which read,”Great to be back at it, working on fly speed transition. Tough session but managed to keep it together. @speedagilityacademy @mrrogerfabri #tuneoftheday.”

All the eyes will be on him and Smith during the T20 league as both will be itching to make a mark with scintillating performances on the field. Moreover, their behaviour will also be under the scanner as they aim to regain the trust of the fans.
