Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been one of the most celebrated cricketers across the globe. His popularity knows no limits as he has become one of the biggest superstars of the game. Since the day he retired, the fans have shared a lot of dismay and sorrow for their beloved cricketer. His devotees even reside in Pakistan a neighbour yet a rival country of India.

Dhoni has a unique relationship with the subcontinent country as well. He scored his first ODI and Test centuries against Pakistan. He won his first World Title– 2007 World T20 by beating Pakistan in the finals only. Still, the love for him and his composed character can be seen in the eyes of each and every cricket follower.

Dhoni is Dhoni and no one can replace him, says a Pakistani fan

The social media since 15th August, the day he announced his retirement is full of tributes and posts made for the former wicket-keeper. ICC made a tribute video to one of the most successful captains of all time. Paktv.tv recently also made a video which had the fans reactions over the departure of ‘Thala’

They were asked if India will find someone like him again who can take his place, or if there can be another Dhoni. The fans disagreed immediately and called him ‘once in a generation player’. “He is from India but I am really hurt as a Pakistani cricket fan that he has retired. Dhoni is Dhoni, no one can replace him in the Indian team,” said a fan.

“He made a name for himself, a very good cricketer who obviously India will miss a lot. India won’t find another player like him. No one can replace him. He was a very good batsman and won India a lot of matches. Don’t’ think India can get a better player than him,” added another.

The only captain to win all the ICC trophies will next be seen in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League. He will lead his favourite franchise Chennai Super Kings. The stumper has played record 9 finals out 12 seasons in the IPL and it will be interesting to see the if the magician can use his wand from behind the wicket and take CSK to an IPL trophy for the fourth time.
