An ECL T10 league stage encounter between Tunbridge Wells and Dreux witnessed some incredible scenes. It all started when the bowler, Wahid Abbas dismissed a batter with a perfect yorker.
The right-handed batter named Marcus O’Riordan moved away from the stumps and went for the cut shot, but the ball crashed onto the stumps. And after that, Abbas took out his shoe and celebrated in a unique manner.
Abbas used his shoe as a phone and acted as if he was making the call, gesturing the batter to go back to the pavilion.
Opposition batter Chris Williams gives it back to Wahid Abbas
And then, the fun started. Riordan’s teammate Chris Williams smashed the ball into the stands for a humongous six and indulged in the same phone celebration that the bowler had used after dismissing Marcus O’Riordan.
Williams smashed another six and yet again used his bat like a phone as the opposition was rendered clueless. All his teammates were also ecstatic and loved the action that Williams was providing on the field.
