Indian team registered a stunning victory at The Oval in the 4th Test against England on Monday to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match Test series. The team was wrapped up at 191 in the first innings but bounced back stronger to secure a splendid 157 runs victory against the hosts to win their first match at the ground in 50 long years. India exuded great character to clinch triumph and the entire cricketing fraternity heaped praises on the Virat Kohli-led side.

After India yet again secured a famous away win, it called for celebrations in the dressing room. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took it to their official Twitter account to share the video of the celebrations and reactions post the victory. BCCI captioned the Tweet as: “From the dressing room, we get you unseen visuals & reactions post an epic win from #TeamIndia at The Oval.”

Both the teams entered into the final day with all three results looking possible. England required 291 runs and India ten wickets to win the match. England openers had laid a strong foundation as the team was 77 for no loss at stumps on day four. However, the Indian bowlers yet again rose to the occasion and displayed their sheer flair.

Umesh Yadav who played his first Test match since December, scalped six wickets in the match and was the highest wicket-taker for India in the fourth Test.

“We knew the wicket was flat so we had to put in a lot of effort on Day 5. We tried to bowl at good lengths and we tried to contain runs as we knew the wickets will come,” Umesh Yadav said in the video.

Shardul Thakur has been the player who has stood out for India. He hit two consecutive half-centuries and helped to put the team in the driving seat. In the second innings, he struck with the wicket of Rory Burns to provide India with the first breakthrough. After Jasprit Bumrah’s outstanding spell, Thakur yet again chimed into the scenario and took the prized wicket of England’s captain Joe Root.

“It feels great. The day I got to know I am playing the game, I planned on creating an impact in this game and create such an impact that I make a useful and winning contribution for the team,” Thakur told BCCI in the video.
