Team India started the England tour on a winning note. While Kuldeep Yadav picked five crucial wickets with the ball, it was KL Rahul who powered the Indian team to a thumping win with the willow. England bowlers were in no competition to the Indian batsmen’s domination.

After a brilliant IPL 2018 season, KL Rahul was given a chance to prove himself in the Indian colours across all three formats. He was a part of the historic Test, where he scored a brilliant half-century and scored an useful fifty against Ireland in the second T20I before making it big against England in the first match of three-match T20I series.

The 26-year-old was given a chance to prove at the No. 3 slot and he lived up to the expectations with an unbeaten century knock. He was seen a tad emotional after smashing his second T20I century. He shared the moment with the Indian skipper and the big screen showed up his emotional side as he cleaned up his wet eyes.

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli was asked about the same in the post-match presentation ceremony and here’s what he has to say, “He’s got a great technique, great temperament and is very hungry and today he was a bit emotional because the last century he scored was against England in Chennai and it’s been that long he’s been waiting for. It was a great century and a great sign for Indian cricket,” said Kohli.

KL Rahul remained unbeaten and ended the game with a dab. Team India thoroughly dominated the England team in the first game of the tour. This victory will surely help the visiting team to achieve big in the upcoming games of the tour. With the explosive batting line-up, England will aim to get back to winning ways as soon as possible.
