Match Details:

The 2nd ODI of the ongoing three-match series between England and Australia will be played at the Emirates Old Trafford Ground in Manchester.

The match is scheduled to start at 01:00 PM Local Time (05:30 PM IST) (12:00 PM GMT) and can be viewed live on Sony Six and Sony Six HD. The live streaming of the match will be available on the Sony Liv App.

Preview:

After losing the T20I series to England 2-1, Australia made a strong comeback, winning the first ODI by 19 runs, getting a lead of 1-0 in the three-match series. This is their second consecutive win over England irrespective of the format and it must have left the hosts worried. Everyone from the captain, Eoin Morgan and the support staff would be working hard, devising a strategy that would help them secure a win.

In the Australian camp, things would be relatively calmer, as coming off a win, the team would want to plug in any loopholes that surfaced in the first ODI and go into the second match, with the intent to win and continue their streak. This is a must-win game for England in order to stay alive in the series.

Weather Report:

The weather on Monday in Manchester will see the skies being partly cloudy and temperatures hovering around the 20 Degrees Celsius mark. And, with just 10 per cent chance of rainfall, a full-length match is very much on the cards.

Pitch Report:

The pitch at the Emirates Old Trafford Ground has been known to support the bowlers. But, this venue is the one where England recorded a total of 397 runs last year against Afghanistan, which shows that if the batsmen spend time in the middle, runs can come quickly for them. The surface gets a little slower as the game progresses and the spinners will come into the game

Average first-innings score: 283 (Last 5 ODI matches played here)
