Former English skipper Michael Vaughan is one of the most popular modern day commentators. The former cricketer is highly active on the social media and has made a reputation for himself as a cricket pundit. In the recent times, he has been making predictions for the various English fixtures. Now, with the third Test between India and England coming up, Vaughan has made some big calls for the game.

Team India is 0-2 down in the five match Test series. The action moves to Trent Bridge for the third Test with the series on the line. If India loses the game, they will give England an unassailable lead in the series. Needless to concede, the stakes are very high in the game.

Michael Vaughan has predicted that it will be England emerging out as the winners of the game. The former captain remarked that nothing will change as the conditions will be swing friendly and the English bowlers will dictate terms in the game.

Star players in the game

Having said that, Vaughan added that James Anderson will make merry with the ball yet again. He will be the leading wicket taker for the hosts. Meanwhile, Vaughan predicted that Jonny Bairstow will be the best batter for the English side. For the Indian team, Michael Vaughan feels that Virat Kohli will lead the run scoring charts, while Mohammad Shami will be the top wicket taker for the visitors. Vaughan added that the Indian team will definitely look to have a couple of changes in their side.

On Ben Stokes

Commenting on Ben Stokes, Vaughan feels that the all-rounder will definitely play the game. Stokes did not feature in the English lineup in the Lord’s Test. For Stokes to make a comeback to the playing eleven, someone will have to make way. Vaughan reckons that in all likelihood, one among Adil Rashid, Sam Curran, or Jos Buttler, will make way for Stokes.
