England skipper Eoin Morgan has not had the easiest of years on the road. In terms of results and in terms of traveling, it has been quite a grueling year for the southpaw as he has taken his England team from strength to strength as the ICC Champions Trophy at home looms large. However, despite all his travel, Morgan remains to be one of the most sought after players in recent times.

While this certainly adds to the bragging rights of a player, the fact of the matter is that Morgan is perhaps one of those players who certainly enjoys plying his trade in the limited-overs’ leagues, it is quite clear that the traveling the skipper has to do has taken a bit of a pounding.

After his grueling series against Ireland, something that will consist of 2 ODIs, Morgan will be forced to travel back to India to play in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Having been released by his previous franchise the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Morgan was picked up for big bucks in the IPL auction by the Kings XI Punjab with the latter looking to shore up their batting unit.

Morgan was picked up for Rs. 2 Crore and will be expected to live up to the big bucks and bat alongside the likes of Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, and perhaps even Hashim Amla. It was assumed the limited-overs captain would remain in the UK after the Ireland series given England’s one-day players must be back from the IPL in time to make a training camp in Spain on May 14.

At the moment, the 30-year old Eoin Morgan is contracted to PSL franchise the Peshawar Zalmi and is in Dubai fulfilling the same.
