Eoin Morgan pleased with his stint in the PSL

English limited-over skipper Eoin Morgan was all praise for his franchise and the PSL. Morgan, who played for Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing edition of the PSL, bid adieu to his team and the tournament for the season. He is expected to join the national side for their tour to West Indies for a short limited-overs series.

During his stint at the tournament, Morgan played 6 matches for the Peshawar Zalmi and scored 136 runs in those fixtures. He left the team on Sunday night after playing his ultimate match of the season against the Karachi Kings.

In a video message, the English skipper noted that he had an amazing time at the PSL. He thanked everybody involved with the Peshawar Zalmi for being very welcoming. He specifically praised the team coach Mohammad Akram and the support staff too. Eoin Morgan did not forget to thank the fans either.

“My experience this year in the PSL has been amazing, I would like to thank everybody at Peshawar Zalmi. Players have been very welcoming, it created a really good environment for the tournament. The coach and the backroom staff, Mohammad Akram and his staff have been outstanding. The chairman has been very welcoming as well, so I would like to thank him. And all the fans who have supported us throughout the fans so far, so thank you all,” Morgan said.

In a very noble cause, Morgan announced that he would donate his PSL kit to the kids being treated at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital. The Peshawar Zalmi had invited 20 such kids who were being treated at the hospital during the first half of the PSL 2017.

“After tonight’s game all of my kit is on its way to these brave young kids of SKMCH I hope you enjoy. Everyone at Peshawar Zalmi loves you,” read a tweet from Morgan prior to the match against Karachi Kings.
