The chairman of selectors of the Indian team, MSK Prasad, has come under the radar of the fans of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. The fans brutally mocked the Indian selector following the remarks he had made on the Indian wicket-keeper batsman recently. Soon after naming the Indian squad for the Sri Lanka series, MSK Prasad had addressed the media wherein he spoke at length about the different propositions of the Indian cricket.

The most notable of all quotes and claims made by him was about MS Dhoni. He was very clear in saying that Dhoni is no longer an automatic selection for the Indian team. He added that the veteran cricketer will have to perform in order to retain his place in the side.

The selectors already have a pool of reserve players to pick from and hence hinted that Dhoni must work hard now in order to preserve his place in the playing eleven. The remarks certainly did not go down well with the MS Dhoni fans. They took to social media platform Twitter to mock MSK Prasad. They asked who was he to make such remarks. They mocked the international cricket numbers of MSK Prasad as well.

The remarks

“You never know. We don’t say it is an automatic thing (selection) but we will see. We are all stakeholders. We all want the Indian team to do well. If he is delivering, why not? If he is not, we will have to look at alternatives. You have been fair and I will be honest. Discussions happen about everybody. It is not just MS. When we pick, when we talk about combinations, we talk about everybody. You will also see in times to come,” Prasad had quoted.

The very fact that he has only played a handful of matches for India became the butt of all jokes. Here is how the Twitterat responded:
