There was a lot of hype of the India-Pakistan match in the ongoing Asia Cup. But what transpired on the field was an utter disgrace with the Men in Green falling like a pack of cards after opting to bat first on a flat pitch. It was eventually a one-sided encounter as India won it by eight wickets. Having won their previous tussle in the Champions Trophy final, Pakistan were confident of turning the tide against their arch-rivals ahead of the high-octane clash.

Last year, when these two teams met in the final of an ICC event, the Men in Blue were touted as the favourites to lift the trophy. Pakistan were being trolled hilariously. But they came up with a spirited show under the inspired leadership of Sarfraz Ahmed and won the title by beating India by a massive margin of 158 runs.

PCB recalls the victory

Recalling the historic triumph, the official Twitter handle of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), ahead of the big clash, posted the highlights of the last year’s game in England. It was just an attempt to give their fans a joyous moment. But the caption of the video messed it up. There was a spelling mistake in it which read, “Here are the highlights of what ‘hepoened’ when last time #INDvPAK ODI was played. Can Green Shirts redo today what they did at the Oval last year?#HarSaansMeinBolo

While their troops failed to replicate their heroics, the Indian fans spotted the spelling mistake only to troll them. There is always a banter between the fans of both the sides on social media and they don’t leave any chance to make fun of each other and this time, even PCB was not spared for their silly mistake.

One would’ve hoped that they would change the caption by rectifying their mistake but it hasn’t been done yet paving the way for more trolls after the defeat.

Here’s PCB’s tweet:
