The battle between India and Pakistan is a highly intense one. This is one of the most interesting and intriguing encounters in cricket and everyone watch it with keen interest. Billions of fans all across the world watched the action with great enthusiasm when these two teams met each other in the World Cup 2019. In such a crucial encounter such as this, Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed was seen yawning and the aficionadi didn’t like it one bit.

After winning the toss, Pakistan put India into bat first. The openers provided the ‘Men in Blue’ with a great start. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, the new batting pair for India in ODI cricket, played some aggressive cricket right from the start. After consuming a few deliveries early on, Rahul shifted gears and began to accelerate. Rohit, though, was on fire right from the start and played with great intent.

The duo added 136 runs for the opening wicket before the 27-year-old got out for 57. The Indian vice-captain, though, went onto register one of his finest hundreds ever, his second in this World Cup. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya made valuable contributions down the order.

The Indian skipper surpassed 11,000 ODI runs in this match and got out to Mohammad Amir towards the end of the innings after he scored 77 runs off 65 balls. On the other hand, Pandya got 26 runs before he got out. While India were on the course of getting a score around 375, Pakistan pulled things back well towards the end and restricted the team to 336/5.

Sarfaraz’s yawn is such a meme-able moment

While there was so much going on in this game, Sarfaraz Ahmed yawning in between the interesting action didn’t go down well with the fans. They absolutely lashed out at him for seeming to be bored in between such a critical encounter. The fans have given him various different names and have brutally trolled him on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

One of the users also tweeted that the Pakistan skipper was a ‘sleep fielder’. Another fan didn’t seem to be impressed with the captaincy of Sarfaraz in this game. He didn’t seem to have liked the idea of having a slip in the 47th over instead of in between the innings.
