Australia (AUS) will be up against West Indies (WI) in the 2nd ODI of the West Indies tour of Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney on February 4. As expected, Australia started the series with a thumping win and would be expected to win this game as well while West Indies might be eyeing for a return.

Both these teams had squared off against each other in the first game of the series which was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground where Australia won the toss and elected to field. West Indies did not have much to present to the game with the bat. Keacy Carty and Roston Chase stood out with the bat as they both reached their half-centuries each where Carty was unlucky to have been run out on 88 and missed his century. No other batters could contribute significantly and the team managed to score a total of just 231 runs.

Australia, had a very modest chase ahead of them after a fantastic performance with the ball, especially Xavier Bartlett putting up a great show. Head went back to the pavilion in the first over of the innings as he threw his wicket to Forde. However, Josh Inglis and Cameron Green joined hands to stitch together a beautiful partnership worth 79 runs. Skipper Smith joined the party when Inglis left the crease and he too went on to score a fifty after the other two. After such a brilliant display with the bat, Australia easily won the game by eight wickets.

Player Picks

7.5
C

Cameron Green AUS | ALL

Green dominated the previous encounter with the bat as well as the ball which makes him suitable for captaincy roles. He scored 77 runs with the bat and scalped two wickets with the ball.

8
C

Xavier Bartlett AUS | BOWL

Xavier bowled exceedingly well in the last game and proved out to be a great asset. He picked up four wickets while giving away just 17 runs in his nine overs.

8.5
C

Steve Smith AUS | BAT

Smith led his team from the front as he remained unbeaten with the bat. He smashed 79 runs off 79 balls and can be made captain of your side as well.

9

Keacy Carty WI | BAT

Carty looked the most comfortable with the bat from the Windies camp. He missed out on his well-deserved century as he was dismissed at the score of 88.

8

Shai Hope WI | WK

Hope could not contribute much in the last game being able to score just 12 runs. But he is a class batter who has been consistent for the Windies and would be expected to do a great job in this match.

9

Josh Inglis AUS | WK

Inglis is an aggressive player who can turn the game around and rightly he did so. Apart from the wicketkeeping roles, he smashed 65 runs off just 43 balls in the last game.

5.5

Roston Chase WI | ALL

Chase did a great job with the bat scoring 59 runs off 67 balls in the last game. He bowled well with the ball too however was not able to scalp any wickets.

9

Sean Abbott AUS | ALL

Sean bowled well for Australia picking up two wickets while spending 42 runs in the previous match. He can be a good budget pick for your fantasy team.

8

Travis Head AUS | BAT

Head has been having a rough patch in the last couple of matches. He has been phenomenal previous to that and it would be expected from to him to bounce back and start scoring well.

Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
