East Delhi Riders (EDR) will face West Delhi Lions (WDL) in the fourth match of the Delhi Premier League 2025 on Monday, August 4, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. It will be the second game of the season for the Riders, while the Lions will play their first match. The Lions finished in last place during the previous season and won two out of 10 matches. They retained Ayush Doseja before the auction for this season.

At the auction, the Lions picked Nitish Rana for INR 34 lakh, and he became one of the most expensive players this season. They spent INR 13 lakh and INR 17 lakh for Ishant Sharma and Mayank Gusain, respectively. Both Ishant and Mayank played for Purani Dilli 6 last season. Hritik Shokeen, who was the captain of the team last season, was picked for INR 5 lakh. Nitish has been appointed the captain of the side for this season.

The Riders faced the South Delhi Superstarz in their first game of the season. The Superstarz scored 169 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Ajay Ahlawat and Ashish Meena took two wickets each for the Riders. Anuj Rawat, the skipper, made 55 runs off 35 deliveries and helped the Riders chase down the target of 170 runs on the last delivery of their innings. He won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.
