On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals began their Indian Premier League 2026 campaign on a strong note, securing a convincing eight-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings. Chennai, after opting to bat first, could only manage 127 runs, a target Rajasthan comfortably chased in just 12.1 overs.

During the chase, Rajasthan’s top order provided an excellent start. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played a remarkable innings, scoring a match-winning 52 off just 17 deliveries. He was well supported by Yashasvi Jaiswal, who added a crucial 38 runs. Earlier, Rajasthan’s bowling attack was equally impressive, with Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, and Ravindra Jadeja claiming two wickets each to restrict Chennai to a modest total.
