His powerful performance propelled the Hurricanes to a total of 172 runs for the loss of eight wickets. In the pursuit of the target, the Scorchers encountered an early setback, losing their first wicket for just 16 runs in the third over. However, they faced no further damage as Zak Crawley and Aaron Hardie orchestrated a match-winning partnership. Crawley remained unbeaten with a solid 65 runs off 46 deliveries, while Hardie also stayed unbeaten, contributing an impressive 85 runs off 45 deliveries. The Scorchers comfortably achieved victory in 16.1 overs with nine wickets in hand, and Chris Jordan took the sole wicket for the Hurricanes.

In the recent match, the Melbourne Renegades found themselves in a batting contest after the Brisbane Heat won the toss and elected to bowl. Unfortunately, the Renegades faced an early setback, losing their first wicket with just one run on the board in the second over. Despite the early setback, Jake Fraser-McGurk showcased a stellar performance, emerging as the top scorer for the team with a brisk 55 runs off 23 deliveries. Jonathan Wells played a crucial role, remaining unbeaten on 34 runs off 24 deliveries.

The Heat bowlers, led by Paul Walter, kept the pressure on the Renegades, limiting them to a total of 162 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Walter proved to be the standout bowler for the Heat, claiming three wickets for 27 runs in his four overs.

However, a resilient partnership between Matt Renshaw and Sam Billings, who added 72 runs for the fourth wicket, steadied the ship. Renshaw continued his contribution with another partnership of 46 runs for the next wicket, this time with Paul Walter. These three batters played crucial roles in helping the Heat reach the target in 18.1 overs with six wickets in hand, securing a well-deserved victory for the Brisbane Heat.
