New Zealand had a rough start to their chase, and half of the team was in the dugout for 110 runs. Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner had some other plans. The duo added 162 runs for the seventh wicket and helped the Kiwis to cross the 300-run mark. In the end, losing early wickets cost New Zealand the game. They will be hoping for a better performance from the top order in this game.

Player Picks

9
C

Virat Kohli IND | BAT

The former Indian captain has scored two centuries in his last four ODI innings and will be a significant threat to the inexperienced Kiwi bowling lineup in this game.

9
C

Suryakumar Yadav IND | BAT

The number-one T20I batter in the world is yet to showcase his skills in the ODI format. However, a longer run in this series will help him to get into the groove.

7
C

Michael Bracewell NZ | BAT

The 31-year-old all-rounder almost won the last game for his team. His 78-ball 140 is the highest innings by a player batting in the number seven position in ODIs against India. He can contribute with the bat and possess some exceptional fielding skills.

7.5

Ishan Kishan IND | WK

The 24-year-old wicketkeeper-batter finally found his place in the ODI team after scoring a double-century last year. But, instead of him being the opener, Kishan has been slotted into the middle order. In the next two matches, he will be a crucial player for India in this role.

8.5

Mohammed Siraj IND | BOWL

He has taken the second-highest number of wickets in ODIs since 2022 and has been the best bowler for India in this format. Siraj picked four wickets for 46 runs in ten overs in the first game, which included two maiden overs.

9

Tom Latham NZ | WK

Although the Kiwi skipper was dismissed for just 24 runs in the first game, he is still one of the biggest threats for India in this game. Latham likes to play against India, which is evident from his stats. He has scored 870 runs in 18 innings against India at an average of 62.14.

8.5

Kuldeep Yadav IND | BOWL

The left-arm spinner has taken 14 wickets in his last seven innings at an average of 19.21, an economy of 4.96, and a strike rate of 23.2. He took two wickets for 43 runs in his last outing.

8

Mitchell Santner NZ | ALL

He played a key role for the team with both bat and ball in the last game. His only wicket was that of Virat Kohli in the first ODI, and he made 57 runs off 45 deliveries. He, along with Bracewell, added 162 runs for the seventh wicket, the highest against India in this position in ODIs.

8

Shubman Gill IND | BAT

The right-handed batter has been in great form in the last one year. He is the only batter who has scored over 1000 ODI runs since 2022. Gill made 208 runs off 149 deliveries in the first game and, thus, became the youngest batter to achieve this feat. He has now scored centuries in each of his last two outings, and India will be hoping that he makes it three in a row.

Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team

8.5

Rohit Sharma

IND | BAT

The Indian captain once dominated this format; however, he has been out of touch for a long time. He last scored a century in ODI in January 2020. Rohit has managed just three half-centuries since that time.

8

Mohammed Shami

IND | BOWL

He managed to pick up just a single wicket in the last game but gave away 69 runs in his spell of ten overs. You can avoid picking him in your fantasy team for this game.
