Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 28th match of IPL 2024. Both teams are coming off the defeats and will look to bounce back with a victory when they face each other at Eden Gardens, Kolkata in the first game of the double header on Sunday (April 14).

The hosts were handed their first defeat by Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk in the Match 22. After being asked to bat, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 137/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Tushar Deshpande scalped three wickets each. Skipper Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer with 34 runs off 32 balls. Chennai Super Kings chased the target in 17.4 overs as Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 67* off 58. Vaibhav Aroa continued his good form and picked up two wickets.

Lucknow Supergiants were ghosted by Delhi Capitals in their backyard last night. After being opted to bat the hosts were able to post 167/7 on the board. Lucknow Supergiants were 94-6 at one stage but Ayush Badoni's 55* off 35 led them towards a competitive total. Kuldeep Yadav 3/20 and Khaleel Ahmed 2/41 were the pick of the bowlers. Delhi Capitals chased it down in 170/4 as debutant Jack Fraser McGurk shined with 55 runs off 35 balls. Ravi Bishnoi picked up 2 wickets and was the economical bowler for the Supergiants.
