In the 20th match of the Indian Premier League 2026, the Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Mumbai Indians endured a disappointing outing in their previous match, suffering a 27-run defeat against the Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan posted a modest total of 150 runs after batting first, but Mumbai could only manage 123 in response. The chase got off to a poor start, with the top order struggling to find momentum and appearing notably sluggish.

However, Naman Dhir and Sherfane Rutherford attempted to stabilise the innings with some positive stroke play, contributing 25 runs each. Earlier, in the bowling department, AM Ghazanfar impressed with two wickets, while Shardul Thakur chipped in with one.

On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru also fell short in their previous encounter, losing by six wickets to the Rajasthan Royals. Despite posting a competitive total of 201 runs, Rajasthan successfully chased down the target within 18 overs. Rajat Patidar was the standout performer with the bat, scoring 63 runs, while Virat Kohli contributed a steady 32. In the bowling department, Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya were the key performers, claiming two wickets each.
