Pakistan and New Zealand are giving it all in the five-match T20I series. The series is currently locked at 1-1 as the final two games move to Lahore. While the Kiwis have sent in their second-string squad, this series is a great chance for Pakistan to sort their team for the T20I World Cup.

Pakistan (PAK) won the second T20I with ease but were soundly beaten in the third game. The loss was soundly called out by many of the big names in Pakistan cricket. Babar Azam will want his side to bowl better with the T20I World Cup just around the corner.

New Zealand (NZ), despite fielding a second-string side, was able to beat the Pakistani team. It was a huge win, with Mark Chapman spearheading the win with his brilliant 87 not out, along with good contributions from the other batters.

Pitch Report

Lahore has always been a ground which has favored the team batting first. The captain who wins the toss will want to bat first as chasing becomes a tad bit difficult as the ball tends to slow down as the spinners tend to have a huge say. A score in the range of 165-180 should be a good total to defend as per the trend at this venue.

Babar Azam PAK | BAT

Babar Azam ā€“ After the rain affected first two games, Babar Azam got to bat during the third game in Rawalpindi. His 37 runs came off 29 balls and gave his team a good start. The 29-year-old will want to score more and get into thick run scoring form in the next few matches.

7.5
C

Mark Chapman NZ | ALL

The 29-year-old was the leading run getter for the visitors with an unbeaten 87 from just 42 balls. This was his 8th T20I fifty and Mark Chapman showed the New Zealand selectors why he should be considered as a permanent member of the side.

C

Shadab Khan PAK | ALL

Pakistan Cricket fans will be happy that Shadab Khan has finally found form. The 25-year-old smashed an unbeaten 41 which came off just 20 balls to help his side reach 178 on the board. While he couldnā€™t pick a wicket with the ball, it is a reassuring sight for many Pakistan fans when Shadab Khan is batting well.

9

Mohammad Rizwan PAK | WK

The Pakistani wicketkeeper and batter has been in decent nick with the bat in recent times. On current form the 31-year-old is one of the most dangerous batters from the Pakistani side.

8.5

Ish Sodhi NZ | BOWL

With figures of 2/25 from his four overs Ish Sodhi had the best bowling figures of the night. The wickets of Saim Ayub and Usman Khan helped change the course of the match in favor of the Kiwis.

8

Saim Ayub PAK | BAT

Pakistani swashbuckling opener Saim Ayub went after the Kiwi bowlers and scored 32 runs from 22 balls. This helped the home team get a brisk start and put pressure on the visitors. Saim Ayub will want to score more runs and hope to secure his spot in the Pakistani squad for the upcoming World Cup.

7

Tim Robinson NZ | BAT

New Zealandā€™s young batter Tim Robinson played a few attractive shots during his brief 19-ball 28 runs. That innings helped the Kiwis get off to a quick start and put the pressure back on the Pakistani bowlers.

8.5

Naseem Shah PAK | BOWL

This current series against the Kiwis will be a huge chance for Naseem Shah to get into the groove. The last game saw him pick just one wicket and concede 44 runs from his 3 overs. The right arm pacer will hope to do better in the final two games of the series.

8

Tim Seifert NZ | WK

In the absence of some of the most established stars, Tim Seifert has a huge responsibility on his shoulder. The 29-year-old began well but was out for 21 runs when he was dismissed by Abbas Afridi.

9

Shaheen Afridi

PAK | BOWL

37 runs from 3.2 overs was the final analysis from Pakistanā€™s leading pacer. His inconsistent form in the recent few months will worry the fans considering that Afridi is considered to be lead pacer for his national side.

7.5

Zak Foulkes

NZ | BOWL

Playing his debut match for New Zealand, young Foulkes was given a taste of what international cricket is all about. His four overs cost him 39 runs and yielded no wicket with the ball.
