St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKN) will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in the second match of the Caribbean Premier League 2025 on Saturday, August 16, at Warner Park in Basseterre, St Kitts. It will be the second game of the season for the Patriots. The Amazon Warriors finished in first place in the points table last season.
The Patriots faced Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the first match of the season and elected to bowl after winning the toss. The Falcons were bundled out for 121 runs in 17.1 overs. Waqar Salamkheil was the pick of the bowlers and took four wickets for 22 runs in four overs. The Patriots reached the target of 122 runs in 15 overs with six wickets in hand. Alick Athanaze (37 off 28) and Evin Lewis (25 off 13) were the top scorers.
The Amazon Warriors finished as the runner-ups last season and lost the final against the Saint Lucia Kings by six wickets. The team participated in the recently concluded Global Super League and faced Rangpur Riders in the final. The Amazon Warriors won the match by 32 runs after posting a total of 196 runs for the loss of four wickets on the board.
