West Delhi Lions (WDL) will face South Delhi Superstarz (SDS) in the seventh match of the DPL 2025 on Tuesday, August 5, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. It will be the second game of the season for both teams. Last season, both teams won one game each against each other.

The Lions faced East Delhi Riders in their first game of this season and elected to bowl after winning the toss. The Riders scored 208 runs for the loss of four wickets. Lions’ four bowlers picked one wicket each. Skipper, Nitish Rana, was the most economical among them and gave away 18 runs from his three overs. Krish Yadav played a knock of 62 runs off 29 deliveries, while Ayush Doseja remained unbeaten on 84 runs off 48 deliveries. They helped the Lions chase down the target of 209 runs in 17.3 overs with seven wickets in hand. Ayush won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.

The Superstarz also took on the East Delhi Riders in the season opener and elected to bat after winning the toss. They lost a few key wickets during the middle overs and could post only 169 runs on the board. Sarthak Ray remained unbeaten on 41 runs off 36 deliveries and was the highest scorer. The match went down the wire and Riders’ Rohan Rathi hit a six of the last delivery to win the game for his team. Divansh Rawat was the pick of the bowlers for the Superstarz and took three wickets for 43 runs in four overs.
