New Zealand will clash against Pakistan in the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 tournament at Sydney Cricket Ground on Wednesday (November 9). New Zealand topped the Super 12 Group 1 table with seven points, on a level with second-placed England and third-placed Australia. They beat Ireland in their last group-satge fixture by 35 runs with captain Kane Williamson smashing 61 runs off jut 35 balls and Lockie Ferguson taking three wickets.

Pakistan secured the semi-final spot despite losing the opening two Super 12 Group 1 fixtures against India and Zimbabwe. But they made a great comeback by winning the next three games with dominant all-round displays. Pakistani bowlers' were impressive in the last two games with Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan putting their best efforts in the crucial moments.

Here are 3 players to avoid in fantasy teams for the NZ vs PAK game:

1. Babar Azam

Pakistani skipper remains one of the best cricketers across formats and ranks third in the current ICC T20I chart. But he is struggling for big knocks with just 39 runs from five innings at an average of 7.80 and a strike rate of 61.90 in this tournament. Babar showed some glimpses of returning to form with a 25-run knock against Bangladesh in the last match but it will be wise to avoid him for the Dream11 selection for this fixture.

2. Jimmy Neesham

Neesham, 32, is struggling for runs at the moment and hasn't bowled any over in this tournament. He was bowled out on a golden duck against Ireland in the last game and has scored only 37 runs from four innings. With so many all-rounder options available, Neesham should be avoided for this fixture.

3. Mohammad Nawaz

Mohammad Nawaz scored four runs off 11 balls against Bangladesh in the last game and didn't bowl any over. He has scored 63 runs from four innings in this tournament but has been poor with a bowl. He took two wickets against India while conceding 42 runs in the first game but has been poor since then. He has taken two wickets and has been the costliest bowler for his team with an economy rate of 7.85 in the tournament.
