The Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli is not enjoying a good time on the pitch against the dominating Australians and quite obviously tempers are flowing during the second Test at Bengaluru with players of both sides getting involved in arguments. Virat has managed figures of 0, 12 and 13 so far in the series which is quite surprising to many as he has been performing tremendously well on home soil. According to legendary Australian wicketkeeper Ian Healy, the pressure of captaincy is starting to mount on the Indian skipper.
There were quite a few instances on day two of the second Test where Kohli had some heated exchanges with the Australian batsmen and Ian Healy believes that Kohli’s behaviour is not healthy and he needs to be more respectful towards his opponents.
Speaking to Melbourne radio station SEN, Healy quoted “The pressure is starting to tell on (Kohli). I’m losing respect for him. He’s not only now continuing his disrespect of the Australian players and umpires, but I think he’s putting pressure on his own players now. You can read pressure all over Ravi Ashwin’s face. I think there’s massive cracks showing in (Kohli). He’s got to be a lot more respectful of his opponents. The stuff he did with Steve Smith was unacceptable”
The RCB batsman got animated on a couple of instances on day two. The first of which was when Matt Renshaw stopped Ravichandran Ashwin from getting the ball and a run was completed. The incident did not go down well with Virat Kohli and he had a word with the Australian batsman. Kohli also got animated when opener David Warner was cleaned up by Ashwin.

We have always witnessed an aggressive Virat Kohli on the pitch and his aggressive nature has helped the Indian side on many occasions. But he needs to be careful while being too animated on the field which is not good for the spirit of the game.
