Team India suffered a defeat in their most recent international fixture against England. Despite the defeat, the members of the team had a reason to celebrate. Veteran Indian cricketer MS Dhoni turned 37 on July 7 this year. On his birthday, the cricket fraternity poured in a lot of birthday wishes for the popular name of Indian cricket. Among the many who wished Dhoni on the day was former Pakistani cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq.

The cricketing ties between India and Pakistan have been on a sour front for a very long time. Despite the bitterness between the two nations, the players have often kept the political tensions aside to send out good wishes for one another on various occasions. The most recent example is the one of Saqlain Mushtaq. The former Pakistani cricketer, who was renowned as the inventor of the ‘doosra’ in world cricket, took to micro blogging site Twitter to wish MS Dhoni on the day.

Saqlain wished for a beautiful year ahead for the former Indian captain. He hoped that the popular cricketer continues to stay blessed and is blessed with happiness in the future. On a slightly different note, he remarked that he is excited to see Dhoni on the field on Sunday.

Team India is set to lock horns with England in the third T20I at Bristol on Sunday. Mushtaq has been closely associated with the English side over the last few years. He has been a part of the English camp in the capacity of the spin bowling consultant and has been spending most of his time in England in the last few years. No wonder why he is all set to see the action between India and England at Bristol when the two sides lock horns in the series decider.

Here is what Saqlain Mushtaq wrote in his tweet:

“Have a beautiful year ahead, stay blessed and happy. See you tomorrow @msdhoni,” Saqlain Mushtaq said in his tweet for MS Dhoni.
