Gautam Gambhir is regularly known for his feisty nature on and off the field. The left-handed batsman has often been on the receiving end of his twitter posts. He has been constantly criticized for his controversial tweets.

He has gotten into a row with cricketers, most famously with his own Delhi teammate Virat Kohli when they faced each other in the Indian Premier League. Presently, the left-hander’s tweet has landed him into big trouble. The tweet which is highly patriotic and emotional did not go well with the Twitterati’ finding the left-hander in a spot of bother.

His tweet was aimed at the “Anti-Nationalist” and all those citizens who want freedom for the people of Kashmir from the larger state of “India.” The left-handers’ views were of very narrow perspective as he mentioned that the land of Kashmir is very much a part of India and bashed the people who opposed this statement.

In the following series of tweets, the Kolkata Knight Riders captain is seen voicing out his opinion on Twitter aiming at all those people who oppose his view:

In this tweet, the KKR captain has posted an article from the Hindustan Times which talks about the Kashmiri mob who have man-handled the paramilitary jawans.

Here he is seen condemning the people who have supported the mob’s intent against the paramilitary jawans and sending out a clear warning to all the Indians that Kashmir is India’s and see no more.

It clearly did not go too well with the people of Kashmir as they believed that the cricketer did not have the need to interfere in the highly sensible and political issue. His interpretation of the Indian flag ended up in people widely criticizing him and trolling him badly on Twitter.

Here are some of the reactions from the Twitterati:
