Watch: Gautam Gambhir picks the best captain he has played under

The Kolkata Knight Riders are having a good time in the IPL thus far. Skipper Gautam Gambhir is a pleased man to see his side emerging as one of the strongest outfits in the tournament. He has been leading the team from the front with strong performances at the top order. His captaincy has been top notch too. This is definitely not a new task for the captain who has led KKR to two title triumphs in the history of the tournament.

His captaincy skills needs no introduction. The elegant opener has learned a lot from the captains he has played under in the past. In a recent conversation with Jatin Sapru for Star Sports India, Gautam Gambhir revealed the name of the captain under whose captaincy he enjoyed the most. Surprisingly enough, Gambhir took the name of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.

Over the last few years, there have been many who speculate that all is certainly not well between MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir. Many Gambhir fans also believe that it was perhaps because of Dhoni that Gambhir lost his place in the national side. Now that Gambhir has come up with this answer, all those questions and speculations have been rightly answered.

In this short video clip, Jatin Sapru asks Gambhir to pick his favorite captain under whose leadership he enjoyed playing the most. After a bit of thought, Gambhir recalls that he has had the privilege of playing under the captaincy of some of the best Indian captains.

When Gautam Gambhir had come at the international stage, he had started playing under the leadership of Sourav Ganguly. Since then, he has played under the leadership of the likes of Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni as well. When asked to pick one, Gambhir chose the man from Ranchi – MS Dhoni.
