The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday launched their victory song named Geluvu Guru. The song signifies the winning spirit of the game. Not just the players’ victory spirit, but also the fans and supporters.

Geluvu literally means ‘Victory’. And thus, the lyrics say-

Bat ko ghumake, Geluvu ! Geluvu! (Victory)

Stump ko churake, Geluvu ! Geluvu! (Victory)

Aasman me udke, Geluvu ! Geluvu! (Victory) They shared the video on their official Twitter handle captioning it:

“Presenting the one voice that beats in all our hearts: Geluvu Guru! This year, RCB goes #BoldTogether with @CholaMS, a winning spirit at heart, and Geluvu spirit in the game! #GeluvuGuruGeluvu #PlayBold #RCB #CholaMS,” the tweet from RCB read.

RCB’s fans came up with the slogan ‘Ee Saala Cup Naamde’ before the start of IPL 2018, meaning This time, the cup is ours. However, this time around, the franchise itself has come up with a slogan for the fans.

RCB has formed a strong team this year

RCB lost their series opener against PBKS, as a target of 206 also fell short for them to defend. They came back stronger in their second match as they defeated KKR by three wickets. RCB players currently hold both the orange cap as well as the purple cap as their skipper Faf du Plessis holds the most number of runs, and Wanindu Hasaranga accounts for most wickets.

RCB has never won an IPL title in the 15 editions of the cash-rich event. Virat Kohli stepped down as the captain of the side after the IPL 2021, and the team roped in Du Plessis as his successor. Before joining RCB, he was with CSK and was a part of the team for the four IPL titles.

He has a big role to play this season as he will be aiming to give his team the much-awaited IPL win and gain a first Championship title. RCB play their next game against the Rajasthan Royals, on April 5, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai at 7:30 PM.
