Yuvraj Singh and Sania Mirza are two prominent names of India’s sports fraternity. Both the players have added many records to their names in their respective sports. Yuvraj and Sania are known to share a great camaraderie and it was quite evident from the recent Twitter exchange between both the sports personalities.

Yuvraj and Sania, who are known to pull each other’s leg on social media, carried on the trend when the left-handed cricketer extended birthday wishes to the tennis star. “Hai hai mirchi ! Janam din mubarak my dear friend lots of love and best wishes always! @MirzaSania,” tweeted Yuvraj and also shared a picture with Sania as she turned a year older on Saturday.

Here’s his tweet

Sania had a hilarious reply under her sleeve. “Hai motu thank you my dearest friend,” she wrote.

Both Yuvraj and Sania have poked fun at each other in the past too. When the left-handed stalwart had unveiled his clean-shaven look on social media, Sania had a classic reply to Yuvraj’s new look.

“New look chikna chamela !! or should I bring back the beard?,” Yuvraj had tweeted. However, Sania stole the show by replying: “Are you pouting to hide the chin under the chin we spoke bout ???? Bring the beard back.”

Yuvraj  won ‘Player of the Tournament’ in WC 2011

Yuvraj bid adieu to the international cricket earlier this year. The decision came after he gave up all hopes of bouncing back to the Indian team after getting sidelined from international cricket for almost two years. The all-rounder is regarded as one of the biggest match-winners for India in the limited-overs format.

He will be always remembered for his heroics in the 2011 World Cup as well as the 2007 T20 World Cup. In the 2011 World Cup, he smashed 362 runs and scalped 15 wickets to clinch the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award as India lifted the prestigious trophy after 28 years.

Currently, Yuvraj is playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 league while representing the Maratha Arabians. The left-hander had a rather forgettable debut in the T10 League, as he faced only six balls and scored as many runs before getting dismissed. His side eventually failed to register a win in their opening fixture in the T10 League.
