Turbonator’s future in Indian cricket
The man with 400 Test wickets seems to have played his time with the Indian team as he has been out of favour of the selectors for a long time now. As India are looking forward to 2019 World Cup and giving chance to budding youngsters, it looks tough for him to get back into the Indian squad.
Bhajji’s age, 37, is also not in the side as fitness is of prime importance in the modern era of cricket. Though, he is still an important member of his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. He has featured in all IPL seasons in the last decade and looks good for more.
The off-spinner has scalped 711 wickets in 269 International matches with as many as 28 five-wicket hauls. His IPL career is superb as he has been miserly with the ball conceding runs under the economy of 7 in 136 matches and has picked 127 wickets.
He also contributed with the bat whenever needed and has a couple of Test centuries to his name which he scored in a single series against New Zealand at home.
