Mumbai Indians have displayed some sensational form after a patchy start. Having won three of their last four games, they seem to be in the mood of staging another comeback. The franchise has been used to doing well in the business end of the tournament. The consecutive victories suggest something special is coming up.

JP Duminy was quite elated with the way the team has performed in the last couple of games. Even last year, after losing three matches at the start, Mumbai Indians went on to win the tournament. Duminy also went to praise Hardik Pandya for delivering at the right point of time.

We take the bull by the horns, we obviously want to win every game from now on

For Mumbai, the only possibility of qualifying for the playoffs is to win all their games from here on. Duminy knew that the franchise had to play their best cricket at this moment. He was delighted with the way, the individuals had stood out with their performances and played some aggressive cricket in the middle.

“There’s one way to go and play the best cricket with our backs against the wall. You can try duck and dive, and shy away from the pressure. What’s been great about our team that we stood up and recognised that we need to take the responsibility and change the fortunes around. The manner we have played our cricket in a few days epitomised the brand of cricket we play and that’s an aggressive one.”

Hardik Pandya is an exceptional talent

All-rounder stepped up at Wankhede not just with his batting but also with his bowling. Hardik Pandya went on to score an unbeaten 35(20) before ending up with splendid figures of 2/19. He ended up winning the man of the match. Duminy was all praise for the versatility as a player.

“He’s been an exceptional talent. One of those who backs himself during the pressure moments. He’s a pressure moment player, someone who stands up and executes to the best of his ability.” He was quoted as saying by Sportstar.
