Hasan Ali dismisses reports of rifts with Sarfraz Ahmed

Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali feels that the skipper of the national team Sarfraz Ahmed is like his elder brother and he respects him a lot. Both of them are currently plying their trades in the ongoing third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) for their respective franchises. During their recent tour to New Zealand, there were reports of rifts between the two and Hasan Ali has dismissed the same claiming that the incident was overblown by the media.
During the course of the one of the five-match ODI series, Sarfraz was advicing bowler during one of his spells, but Hasan Ali walked away completely ignoring him. Even the captain had cleared that there were no issues between them and it happened in the heat of the moment. Hasan Ali was the vital cog in Pakistan’s title triumph in ICC Champions Trophy last year and has been performing consistently ever since.
Hasan clears the air
Hasan Ali, while speaking to Khaleej Times, blamed the media for taking the incident out of proportion and cleared that he respects his skipper a lot. “The incident was overblown by the media and it happened in the heat of the moment. I respect Sarfraz a lot and treat him as my elder brother. I want to make it clear that I have no problem with any of the player in the team,” he said.
The youngster also denied turning arrogant following the success in the Champions Trophy last year and maintained that he is very humble person. “It is a wrong notion that after contributing to Pakistan’s success recently I have become arrogant. I am very humble and down to earth person – it is just the start of my career and I want to carry on this performance,” Hasan Ali added.
He was injured during the series and also missed few matches of PSL before getting fit recently to play.
