Dave Houghton recorded the highest individual score for Zimbabwe in Test Cricket by scoring the country’s first ever double century in the format. His innings of 266 came in 541 balls with help of 30 fours and 3 sixes against Sri Lanka in October, 1994 at Bulawayo. In this process, Houghton overcame the country’s highest individual score of 121 at that time which was also on his name. Since then, no Zimbabwe player came close to his record score.

New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum recorded his country’s highest individual score with a fighting triple century against India in 2nd innings at Wellington. He recorded the first triple century by a New Zealand and overhauled previous highest score by a NZ player of 299 by Martin Crowe. His innings of 302 came in 559 balls with help of 32 fours and 4 sixes.

Virender Sehwag, Indian only triple centurion recorded the highest individual score for India when he scored 319 against South Africa at Chennai in March, 2008 beating his earlier high score of 309. During his innings, Sehwag played just 304 balls and hit 42 fours and 5 sixes. His triple century came in just 278 balls, the fastest by a longer margin.

Pakistan’s Hanif Mohammad holds the record of scoring the highest individual score for Pakistan in tests cricket as he scored 337 against West Indies in January, 1958 at Bridgetown. He was the country’s first double and triple centurion in Test cricket. His innings of 337 came during 2nd innings of the game when the opposition enforced follow on. He scored 24 fours and batted for 970 minutes.

In the process, he overhauled Sanath Jayasuria’s 340 which was the next highest individual score by a Sri Lankan in Tests. Mahela’s 374 came in 572 balls with help of 43 fours and a six.

It was also the highest individual score in Test Cricket at that time. Hayden with his innings of 380, overhauled Mark Waugh’s 334*. <p>New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum recorded his country’s highest individual score with a fighting triple century against India in 2nd innings at Wellington. He recorded the first triple century by a New Zealand and overhauled previous highest score by a NZ player of 299 by Martin Crowe. His innings of 302 came in 559 balls with help of 32 fours and 4 sixes.</p>
<h4><strong>7 &#8211; Hashim Amla (South Africa) – 311*:</strong></h4>

<p>Hashim Amla became the first South African to score a Triple ton in Test cricket when he smashed an unbeaten 311, the country’s highest individual score in Test cricket while playing at The Oval against England in July, 2012. In the process, Amla overcame AB de Villiers’ 278*. His innings of 311* came during second innings in 529 balls with help of 35 fours.</p>
<h4><strong>6 &#8211; Virender Sehwag (India) – 319:</strong></h4>

<p>Virender Sehwag, Indian only triple centurion recorded the highest individual score for India when he scored 319 against South Africa at Chennai in March, 2008 beating his earlier high score of 309. During his innings, Sehwag played just 304 balls and hit 42 fours and 5 sixes. His triple century came in just 278 balls, the fastest by a longer margin.</p>
<h4><strong>5 &#8211; Hanif Mohammad (Pakistan) – 337:</strong></h4>

<p>Pakistan’s Hanif Mohammad holds the record of scoring the highest individual score for Pakistan in tests cricket as he scored 337 against West Indies in January, 1958 at Bridgetown. He was the country’s first double and triple centurion in Test cricket. His innings of 337 came during 2nd innings of the game when the opposition enforced follow on. He scored 24 fours and batted for 970 minutes.</p>
<h4><strong>4 &#8211; Sir Leonard Hutton (England) – 364:</strong></h4>

<p>Sir Leonard Hutton of England recorded the highest individual score for England in Test Cricket by scoring 364 at The Oval against Australia in August, 1938. With this innings, he overcame WR Hammond’s 336*. Hutton’s innings of 364 came in 847 balls with help of 35 fours.</p>
<h4><strong>3 &#8211; Mahela Jayawardene (Sri Lanka) – 374:</strong></h4>

<p>Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene recorded the country’s highest individual score in Test cricket in July, 2006 against South Africa when he scored a huge score of 374 in the first innings at Colombo, SSC. In the process, he overhauled Sanath Jayasuria’s 340 which was the next highest individual score by a Sri Lankan in Tests. Mahela’s 374 came in 572 balls with help of 43 fours and a six.</p>
<h4><strong>2 &#8211; Matthew Hayden (Australia) – 380:</strong></h4>

<p>Matthew Hayden holds the record of highest individual score for Australia in Test Cricket by scoring 380 at Perth vs Zimbabwe in October, 2003. It was also the highest individual score in Test Cricket at that time. Hayden with his innings of 380, overhauled Mark Waugh’s 334*. Hayden’s 380 came in 437 balls with help of 37 fours and 11 sixes.</p>

<p>Brian Lara not only recorded the highest individual total for West Indies during his quadruple century against England at St John’s but also the highest individual score in the Test Cricket came in April, 2004. His innings of an unbeaten 400 came in 582 balls with help of 43 fours and 4 sixes. In this process, he overhauled country’s highest individual score of 375 also by Lara.</p>
