The cricketing trends on social media today saw the cricketers from all over the world interact with their followers across platforms. Whilst a few kept discussing ferociously on Ben Stokes‘ NOC, a few were on holidays and the other spending time on charities. Former English cricketer Darren Gough was batting for many young people who suffer from a severe physical or learning disability.

Dale Steyn, who has been on the verge of an International comeback in the series against India, spent some time to celebrate his grandfather’s birthday. He also urged all his fans to send him their best wishes and Twitterati didn’t let the legendary fast bowler down. Chris Gayle and Tom Moody expressed their elation after Rangpur Riders clinched another thriller in the Bangladesh Premier League.

Talking of the BPL, Windies T20 stalwart Darren Sammy had a special birthday message for his Rajshahi Kings’ teammate Nihaduzzaman. Indian skipper Virat Kohli had a funny altercation with Royal Challengers teammate Mandeep Singh, whilst the uncrowned King of Indian Twitter, Virender Sehwag posted a picture of the newly married couple Sagarika Ghatge and Zaheer Khan.

Kevin Pietersen addressed the short-ball concerns for the English batsmen in the ongoing Ashes series with a video tutorial. The former English captain lashed out hard on his fellow country mates for showing no great fighting spirit in the first game.

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan had an interaction with famous journalist Piers Morgan about the much hyped-about transfer of footballer Mesut Ozil to Manchester United. Whilst the talks are going on encouragingly, Manchester United’s search for a right winger can be completed by signing Ozil and after reading an article which potentially confirmed this transfer, Vaughan was quick to bring it to Morgan’s notice, who happens to be a huge Arsenal fan.

Dean Jones had to shut one of his followers with a savage reply. The Twitter user posted a message to Jones suggesting the Aussies can perform only at home and the need not drool over so much over their victory in the Gabba Test. Jones had a perfect reply to the youngster which received great applause from Twitterati.
