Royal Challengers Bangalore unveiled their new logo and jersey on Friday for the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League. The franchise was welcomed with a mixed reaction of the fans as some of them appreciated their effort whereas some hilariously trolled them over the same. And, Vijay Mallya also joined the bandwagon as he took a sly dig over his former franchise. However, his comments didn’t go down well with the fans and he was bashed upside down by the RCB supporters.

The Virat Kohli-led side has managed to reach IPL finals on three occasions but failed to get their hands on the prestigious trophy. It is well known that RCB is one of the most followed teams in the cash-rich league due to their star players like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.

Every season, they come out as one of the top contenders to lift the title. However, they have a history of choking in the crucial games due to which they haven’t managed to win a single trophy in the last 12 seasons. Their star-studded team is still fighting hard to win their maiden IPLIn the year 2019, ended up being on the last position with five wins in their 14 games.

Fans troll Vijay Mallya for his comments on RCB new logo and jersey 

After the introduction of the new logo, Virat Kohli, who is currently gearing up for the upcoming two-match Test series against New Zealand, took off some time from the game and personally appreciated the new logo of a lion with a crown that was introduced by his IPL franchise. Furthermore, he also showed his excitement for the upcoming season of IPL 2020.

After some hours, RCB unveiled their new jersey with divided into two halves with red and black colour that was divided by golden piping. And, their new title sponsor name– Muthoot Finance was printed on the front in bold in white colour. It looked like the franchise are expecting that these changes might help them in turning their fortune in the 2020 season of the cash-rich league.

Later on, Vijay Mallya, the former chairman of RCB, who is currently in the UK, took a cheeky dig on RCB saying — “it is good to have a change but win the trophy first”. However, his statement didn’t go down well with the fans and he ended up being trolled for his money laundering case.

Mallya has been accused of not paying back his loans to the banks that evaluate to be near around Rs 9,000 crores. He had resigned from the directorial post of RCB back in 2016 after he came under the scanner of CBI inquiry for allegedly being involved in an illegal act.
