The Champions Trophy may have come and gone but the buzz around it has certainly not. Be it the shock exit of the favourites South Africa, Australia, New Zealand in the group stages or the no.8 ranked team going on to win the tournament, the event was one filled with many iconic moments.

Pandya-Jadeja story

One such controversial moment was reserved for the all important final between India and Pakistan. The match, like any India-Pakistan match was hyped to the heavens, the sponsors were having a blast and the teams and the fans were all fired up alike.Alas! nothing went right for the Men in Blue. Winning the toss and choosing to bowl was seen as a sceptical choice considering the batting strip and the pressure of chasing in a final. The start was awry as the bowlers bowled all around the place giving extras and getting a wicket off a no-ball which would cost the team dear.

Being set a target of 339 runs, the Indian team floundered in the chase, losing wickets at regular intervals and any batsman failing to add much to the score,It was only when Hardik Pandya came to the crease was there shown any sign of emergency, He, along with Jadeja engaged in a solid partnership with Pandya doing the bulk of the scoring engaging in some mighty blows that send some balls to the top tear.

A fairytale revival, was however not on the cards as Pandya was run out due to a miscommunication between the two. Jadeja had hit the ball to the on side and called for a run and then hesitated leaving Pandya high and dry. Pandya was left fuming in the middle and made no intention of hiding his frustrations at Jadeja as he went back to the dressing room. India never recovered from that and were bundled out for 158.

Everyone has been wondering what took place between the two back in the dressing room. Well, this video would suffice for some. An exaggerated version maybe of what might have been.

At the end of the day, however, these things have to be treated as part and parcel of the game and these players are mature enough to understand that and move on. Cheers!
