The Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma pair is regarded as one of the most famous couples in India. Both Virat and Anushka, amid the pandemic, have shared many clips and photos of each other. The power couple has kept the fans updated regarding their daily routine by notching up their social media activity at a time when the world is grappling with COVID-19 outbreak.

The Indian skipper, who hasn’t braced the field since March, recently shared his experience of baking a cake for Anushka on her birthday. Anushka, on May 1st, celebrated her 32nd birthday amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The couple has been confined to home since the first phase of lockdown and Virat didn’t miss the chance of baking a cake for his better half during the quarantine period. Kohli, while speaking to Mayank Agarwal on BCCI’s show ‘Open nets with Mayank’, shared his experience of baking the cake for the first time in his life on the occasion of Anushka’s birthday.

Anushka told me that she loved the cake: Virat Kohli

“I baked a cake for the first time in my life on Anushka’s birthday. That would be a standout quarantine story for me because I had never baked earlier. It turned out to be good in the very first attempt and she told me that she loved the cake, which is very very special,” said Kohli while narrating his favourite quarantine story.

Kohli was set to lead India in the ODI series against South Africa in March. However, the series was called off in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic after the first ODI at Dharamsala was washed off. The Indian skipper was also going to steer Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the thirteenth edition of the IPL. The cash-rich league was going to start from March 29th but the BCCI had no option but to push it further in the wake of COVID-19 spread.

But the world is likely to witness the T20 extravaganza soon as the BCCI has confirmed that the league will now take place from September 19 to November 8 in UAE. Kohli, along with other India stars contracted with the BCCI, will be part of the training camp slated to take place in August at the Motera stadium. Post the training camp, the players are scheduled to fly to the UAE to flag off this year’s IPL.

Kohli, meanwhile, has been keeping himself fit by resorting to indoor training. He had recently hogged the limelight by sharing clips of his gym sessions where he had also nailed Hardik Pandya’s hop-push challenge by adding a twist to it.
