Yuvraj Singh of India, who had struck Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over in the inaugural WorldT20 Cup 2007, said that he will hit six sixes again to a Cancer Survivor Kid.

Yuvraj Singh had a great interaction session with 17 young kids, out of which most of them aged 7 or 8, who fought their own battles against the dreaded disease.

When a young kid asked Yuvraj if he will hit six sixes again, Yuvraj replied – “You pray, I will hit six sixes again.” The six sixes where an iconic part of Indian cricket.

However, the dashing left-handed batsman is in good touch and he has finished off matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season. Yuvraj had struck 42 runs off 24 balls to take his side to a 7 wicket win against Kings XI Punjab on Sunday.

One of the cancer survivors, studying in class 4 now, aged 8, had been diagnosed with cancer when he was just 18 months old. The boy told PTI that players like Yuvraj are a great inspiration for him. “I love cricket and seeing Yuvi and Suresh Raina in action gives me immense joy,” he said.

Yuvraj also shared a few of his aspects about dealing with the dreaded diseases like cancer teaches not to take life as granted , not to take your family or friends for granted. “Think of it as a blessing in disguise that you have an opportunity to live again,” he told them.
