Match Details:

The 5th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Region Final 2019 will be played between Bermuda and Cayman Islands at the White Hill Field in Sandys Parish, Hamilton.

The match starts at 11:00 AM local time (7:30 PM IST) (2:00 PM GMT).

Preview:

Bermuda and Cayman Islands were considered to be the weaker nations in the Americas Region Final ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers. However, Bermuda stunned the United States of America (USA) in the very first match by six runs. Delray Rawlins played a key role with both bat and ball in that victory. They later faced Canada on Monday in what was a thrilling match ending in a washout.

The hosts made only 82/9 in the restricted 16 overs. Canada was going at a quick pace in the chase scoring 40 runs without a loss in only four overs. However, the rain gods had no mercy in allowing Canada to finish their one over before the next match. They will now be up against Cayman Islands who nearly took down the USA in a rain-affected low-scoring match despite finishing on 68/8 in 20 overs.

Weather Condition/Report:

The weather forecast does suggest another dry period during the match. However, the matches on Monday were affected by the rain despite the positive forecast.

Pitch Condition/Report:

Compared to the National Stadium, the White Hill Field pitch is slightly quicker. With two days gap and rains in between, the track at the White Hill Field is expected to play better. Teams batting first could be aiming 140-150 as a winning score.
