Papua New Guinea and Bermuda will get their campaign underway in the ongoing T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 on Saturday. PNG lost both their warm-up matches against Oman and the hosts United Arab Emirates ahead of the tournament. However, they will take heart from the way they batted against the UAE while chasing 194. PNG scored 178 runs in 20 overs as almost all the batsmen contributed to the total.

Bermuda, on the other hand, had mixed outings in the warm-up fixtures. They first went past Nigeria rather comfortably before going down to Hong Kong. Both the teams will hope to put their best foot forward to start their tournament with a victory.

Weather Condition/Report:

The sun will be out to welcome both the side at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Saturday. The temperature will hover around 32-36 Degrees Celsius and the players might struggle due to excessive heat in the middle. There is no chance of rain whatsoever according to the AccuWeather.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The opening game of the tournament between Singapore and Scotland witnessed scores over 160 in both the innings. The trend might continue for the first few matches as the pitches are fresh before getting slower as the competition progresses. Expect the team winning the toss to bat first.

Record of the chasing teams: Won – 4; Lost 14; NR – 1
